Trial and Error

Oh yes, mostly error. But, hey, I’m not going to know if I can’t or I can until I try. Honestly, I’m not the most mechanically inclined person. That’s putting it mildly. When my son was young, he loved Lego and I’d buy him intricate sets. I’d be puzzling over the directions and he’d have it completely assembled already. Spatial aptitude is not my forte. That doesn’t stop me from trying. πŸ˜‰ Just the other day I had my vaccuum cleaner halfway torn apart because it was making a funny noise.

The other day at work the printer ran out of ink.  I was out of the office so a co-worker left me a note because she didn’t know how to change it. I can’t imagine going through life feeling so confident that someone else was going to take care of everything for me. I operate from the complete opposite end of the spectrum: you’re on your own so you’d better figure it out yourself. I’m never going to be good at a lot of things, but there are so many great things I’ve learned to do by researching, teaching myself, learning from those around me, and most of all, trial and error. πŸ˜‰
