Wind

The last few days the wind has had many opportunities to mess up my hair as the air conditioning in my car needs to be recharged and it’s been really hot for the first time this summer, so I’ve been driving with my windows down. I do love the feeling of the wind blowing in my hair, but my allergies don’t love it quite as much.

My son was driving behind me and said that I reminded him of Medusa. Uhh, thanks. I’ve always wanted to be compared to a hideous Gorgon with snakes for hair. He reminded me that Medusa was once a golden haired beautiful maiden. Well, that’s more like it. ;-)I told him that if I’m going to be compared to any goddess, I’d prefer it to be Freya, the Norse goddess of love and beauty:
Freya

No snakes for me, thanks. And I’ve yet to turn anyone to stone who looks into my eyes. He reminded me that I can definitely give a look. So can he. It runs in the family.

Doesn’t every family have discussions about Greek vs. Norse mythology? I know, I know. We’re weird.

Love this pic of the two of you. How about an updated one of Ian giving ‘the look’?

Sandy, it’s almost impossible to get a picture of him now. I’m giving “the look” too, it’s just hard to tell behind the sunglasses.
