I was once told that I was “a piece of work”, and I’m fairly certain that wasn’t a compliment. While I’m not high-maintenance or demanding in the least, I’m certainly complicated. I know life would be much easier for me if I was simple, but I am who I am. I accept and embrace that. Honestly, most people are so wrapped up within themselves that they never bother to look beyond the surface of anyone else.

One will come,

suitless and brave,

with fingers like clippers,

and no fear of explosions

promised. One will come

who runs to you,

and not away

Still waiting….
