Hello November!

It’s the first day of November and the end of Daylight Saving Time. I wish it was actually the end, as in we’d never change the time again. It’s just not sensible. I grew up in a state that didn’t observe DST.  Then I moved to another state that didn’t observe DST either. I moved to California in October, just a few weeks before the time change. My first experience with DST was quite a shock. The following October, I went into labor  at the exact moment that the time changed.  My water broke, I sat up and looked at the clock on the cable box (remember those?) and it read 2:00 and then blinked and read 1:00. There was ongoing confusion that night and the next day as to just how long I had been in labor. See, DST really is ridiculous! 😉

My silly brain equates darkness with bedtime. Considering I’m usually still at work when the sun sets this time of year, that’s a problem. Needless to say, I’m not super-productive at that point, so I may as well call it a day and go home. As I write this, I’m trying to decide what is too early to get into bed. Is 7:30 too early? But then I remembered that I can do whatever I want. 🙂 That’s one of the upsides to living alone. Want to walk around naked? Fine. Want to eat cereal for dinner? Go for it.

I wanted something bright to cheer myself up so I bought these:image

I smile every time I look at them.
