I used to be a wee bit obsessive about decorating my Christmas tree. We used to have a 12 foot tree, not pre-lit. It would take my son and I the better part of a day just to string the lights.
When we moved to a house that didn’t have a two story living room, we downsized to a 9 foot tree.

We’ve decided to stay home this year for Christmas. We’re just going to relax all day, eat, drink, and watch movies. Ian said he can’t go through a repeat of thanksgiving again so soon– we need a holiday free from Fox News in the background, ultra-conservative politics, racist comments, and discussions that involve the price of .22 ammunition. I whole-heartedly agreed. Let’s just say that I’m pretty much the opposite of most of my family. 😉
